FORCE CONCEPTS offers a one-of-a-kind writing assessment using objective and quantifiable methods to evaluate individual observation, recall, notetaking and narrative compilation skills. In addition to basic writing conventions such as grammar, punctuation and spelling, the following individual skill dimensions are evaluated and scored:
- visual intake
- auditory intake
- memory & recall
- note collection & organization
- ability to follow written instructions
- ability to follow oral instructions
- identification of 'critical' items
- listing events in proper sequence (chronology)
- accurately describe persons, vehicles & settings
- accurately describe conversation
- use of supporting details & elaboration
OTHER KEY COMPONENTS
VALID: Field and pilot testing samples contain pre-employment/job applicants, line personnel, supervisors and administrators. Our data base also offers comparative analysis by agency type, size, job duties, title, education level, gender, race, military experience. Administration procedures include, but are not limited to, a TAM (Test Administrator Manual) and a minimum of two (2) graders for each individual assessment.
SCOPE: Our model can be applied to any occupation requiring: (1) initial observation of critical items under some degree of stress; (2) formulate a call to action or decision using initial observations; (3) followed by post event recall and collection of critical observations; and (4) ending with the submission of official reports that cannot be misinterpreted.
